Teensy Tuesday, Lit Groups, Math, and Vocabulary

  1. Literature Groups Continued...

Warriors
Our literature groups have been running successful.  The students in Warriors are constantly reflecting on the themes that arise in this interactive book.

Rave-O has been awesome.  The pace is fun and interactive.  It connects language to patterns and words and has constant activities.

2)MATH
Money math and looking at values and word problems will continue.  In class we dissect our math problems and take them apart, using visuals, and with a focus on the process versus "memory" and the answer.  Critical thinking skills have to be accessed in order to conceptually understand.  Also, we will review adding numbers.

Apples to Apples
If there's time, we will use appples ot apples to look at vocabulary and pick out descriptive words.  These will be used for an activity tomorrow.

  • 3  items that you get a month
  • the most expensive thing you can think of....

Then guess their value!
