Quote/Image of the Day:

New Student!!

How do we welcome them?

Consideration; this guy has some good ideas!

http://www.wisdomportal.com/Peace/FourHarmoniousBrothers.html

Our new point sheet words, the student's will be better monitoring themselves...

SAFE
My body, words, actions, and intentions are safe.  This means that I am offering people around me to feel safe by the energy I give because all in our community deserves comfort and safety.

CONSIDERATE
Ongoing, I am considering the people, places, creatures, and objects around me.  I am considering the impact I have on others.  I am learning that what I do has meaning and effects to my surroundings.
RESPONSIBLE
I am responsible for the results and outcomes of my words and actions (behaviors).  I am learning to accept “ownership” of my behavior by admitting when I’ve made a mistake and making amends to repair (reparations) what has been broken.
+BREAKS
I am taking breaks when I am not feeling ok (frustrated, tired, challenged by difficult tasks, sad, and more).  I am learning to use break strategies to lessen the impact of my feelings/actions on others.  I use breaks when I have a valid reason and am communicating my need for them (words, break card, set-up symbol, and more).
EFFORT
I am putting my best effort into the community and activities of the classroom.  Even if something is hard, boring, or unwanted I am still attempting an effort to try.  I am learning that everybody makes mistakes and making mistakes is a part of the process I need to grow in a positive way.
